2002 REUNION SUMMARY

The 2002 Reunion was a tremendous success and possibly the best reunion yet.  The reunion weekend began with a no host cocktail party Friday night at Seal Beach Yacht club and about 75 people attended.  Everyone was so excited to renew old friendships, no one sat down all night and the noise level was almost at the yelling level with all the people talking.  Several people attended Friday night that were not able to attend Saturday.  A number of classmates came Friday with personal reservations about attending Saturday Night and had so much fun they showed up Saturday. 

Saturday night we had 206 prepaid reservations and another 25 pay at the door.  The evening was just as exciting as Friday, only 3 times larger.  The caterer served outstanding food and no complaints were heard.  By design, there was only table seating for 100 people as we wanted people to mull around and not sit at a table all night.  When the food was served, several people were upset they could not sit at a table, however there was plenty of seating for everyone.  The facilities at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club were perfect for a reunion.  The reunion committee jokingly said they should not have served the food until 10 PM, because after dinner, many old timers left.  There were plenty of classmates that stayed past midnight, but we did not see the all night party crowd of prior reunions.

The reunion committee is in agreement we need to do the next reunion in 5 years, (2007).  One strong possibility is a 4 or 7 day cruise to Mexico out of LA Harbor.

Also, we plan to host a number of future luncheons on a regular basis.  This is possible because we have many e-mail addresses of classmates and it will be relatively easy to get the word out.  It is your responsibility to make sure we have your current e-mail address.
